From humble beginnings, the Truckline network has grown to become a leading national force in aftermarket parts and service
Truckline owes its establishment in Australia to Lachlan Aitken setting up in 1952 as Lac Aitken Spares. From his humble beginnings in his family home in the Sydney suburb of Kingsgrove, the business grew, moved to new premises, took on the name Aitken Spares and saw his sons Tom and Robert join the family concern.
From as early as the 1960’s, Lac Aitken was sourcing products from around the world and building the foundations for a national organisation. The 1970’s and 1980’s was an intense period of growth as the group opened new branches and acquired businesses across the country in association with Dana Corporation. In 1986 Dana took controlling interest in the group under the name Truckline Parts Centre.
Truckline is committed to continuous improvement and growth
This 50 years of solid growth culminated in the purchase of Truckline in February 2000 by Iveco Trucks Australia. With company owned branches now spread across Australia, Truckline is committed to the continuous improvement and growth of the organisation that Lac Aitken set up over half a century ago.
